Group Classes
For the individual who is looking for a fun way to not only learn and refine their dance skills, but also meet people from all different ages and backgrounds while sharing the excitement of learning to dance.

Private Lessons
For the student who prefers or needs that one on one attention we also offer private lessons (scheduled at your convenience). Private lessons are absolutely the key to putting your dancing skills on the fast track.

Dance Teams
For those looking to take their dancing to the next level we offer students the chance to perform on stage, train under Houston’s elite dance instructors and travel to different cities and events.

Ways to learn
Dance lessons in Houston for every goal
Every student has a unique way of learning, and for that reason AMAYA Dance offers a variety of different ways to learn. Group classes are a fun way to learn and meet people from all different ages and backgrounds. Private lessons put your dancing on the fast track. Dance teams take you to the stage, and socials give you a place to put it all to use.
While AMAYA Dance primarily specializes in salsa, we like to mix things up with bachata, ladies styling and boot camps in cha-cha-cha, mambo and more.

Dance lesson questions
What type of dance class is best for beginners?
Salsa Beginner 1 is the best place to start. It covers the fundamentals of salsa, including rhythm, timing, leading and following, and no experience or partner is required.
Can I learn to dance as an adult?
Yes. Group classes welcome students from all different ages and backgrounds, and beginner classes are fun and fast, but not too fast, with plenty of patience, repetition and practice.
How much do dance lessons cost?
Please refer to our Pricing page for current group class and private lesson options.
Do you offer private dance lessons?
Yes. Private lessons are scheduled at your convenience and tailored to your individual goals and areas of need.
Do I need to bring a dance partner?
No partner necessary for any of our classes. We rotate frequently in class so that everyone has ample time to practice with a partner.
